Saturday, July 6, 2019 — The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church will celebrate her 238th birthday Sunday, July 7, 2019. The church was constituted July 4, 1781.

Sunday’s 11 a.m. worship service will include the cantata “God, Bless America Again!” This musical call to prayer for the nation we love will be presented by the adult choir. During the cantata, Margareth will sing “The Lord’s Prayer” accompanied by guitarist, Rogerio Miguel, her brother from Sao Paulo, Brazil; by violinist, Ruthie Walton, a former member of the University of Louisville orchestra; and by church pianist, Angie Brothers McCubbins. Narrating the cantata will be Katrina Bramlett, the pastor’s wife. Katrina, Craig Watson, Kathy Watson, and Randy Curtsinger will sing solos. Following the music presentation, Pastor Victor Bramlett will bring a message entitled “How to Get God to Bless America” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church will feature a picnic following Sunday’s celebration of the church’s 238th birthday.
