Drug task force search warrant results in arrests of three at Balltown area home

Tuesday, July 9, 2019 — The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office assisted members of the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force with the execution of a search warrant Monday, July 8, 2019, at a home in the 400 block of Balltown Road.

Deputies and task force members took a variety of evidence into custody and arrested three people at the home.

Thelma Jean Walker, 65, of New Haven, was arrested on a single charge of possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine), first-degree.

Megan Danielle Biven, 27, Bardstown, was arrested on charges of possession of controlled substance, first-degree (drug unspecified); possession of drug paraphernalia; and public intoxication, controlled substance (excludes alcohol).

James Christopher Curtsinger, 36, Bardstown was arrested on charges possession of controlled substance, first-degree (cocaine); trafficking in controlled substance, first-degree (less than 4 grams cocaine); and possession of drug paraphernalia.

All three subjects were lodged in the Nelson County Jail.

NCSO Detective Brandon Byan is the lead investigator on the case. The investigation is ongoing.
