Obituary: William ‘June Bug’ Wells Jr., 79, Bloomfield

William “June Bug” Wells Jr., 79, of Bloomfield, died Sunday, July 28, 2019, in Louisville East Post Acute Care in Louisville. He was born Oct. 19, 1939, in Bloomfield to the late William and Nancy Summers Wells Sr. He was a former employee of Ann’s Florist and D.B. Sutherland & Sons, and was a member of the Bloomfield 2nd Baptist Church.

He is survived by a host of cousins and friends. His family would like to thank his special friends who took care of him, Danny Stewart and David Bishop, both of Bloomfield.

The going home service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019, at the Bloomfield 2nd Baptist Church, 145 Hill St., in Bloomfield with the Rev. Joseph Marshall officiating. Burial is in the Bloomfield Cemetery.

Visitation is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019, at the church.

The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
