Obituary: Mary Ann Redden, 76, Bardstown

Mary Ann Redden, 76, of Bardstown, died Monday, Aug. 19, 2019, at University of Louisville Hospital. She was born March 3, 1943, in Nelson County to the late William Cavanaugh and Mary Alice Grundy Knott. She was a retired nurses aid for Life Care Center of Bardstown, and was a member of Bardstown First Baptist Church where she was active in the women’s ministry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Mason, Teresa Grundy; three brothers, James Richard, Joseph Richard, and Charles Grundy.

She is survived by four nieces, Tammy Mason of New Albany, Sharon Livers of Radcliff, Phyllis Keeylen of Louisville, and Theresa Richard of Bardstown; three nephews, Otis Mason, Wayne Mason and Trevor Johnson, all of Bardstown; and two special friends, Bobbie Kilgore and Barbara Owens, both of Bardstown.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2019, at the First Baptist Church of Bardstown with the Rev. Michael Smith officiating with burial in Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019, at the church.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
