Fatal accident closes KY 245 near Jim Beam in Bullitt County

Dec. 14, 2010, 10:22 p.m. — A fatal head-on collision on KY 245 in Bullitt County about a mile south of the Jim Beam distillery closed KY 245 for several hours Tuesday night.

Nelson County Dispatch advised ambulance squads with Nelson County EMS that the roadway was shutdown about 5:30 Tuesday evening. Motorists trying to get home from Louisville via KY 245 were routed to the Boston exit. The roadway was still closed at 8 p.m. Tuesday while an accident reconstruction team from the Kentucky State Police examined the scene.
