Bardstown firefighters respond to brush fire report on Boston Road

Saturday, July 2, 2011, 2:35 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department is responding to the area of the 4600 block of Boston Road, US 62 for a reported brush fire. A deputy sheriff on scene reports a brush pile is burning at that location, and it is a controlled burn. The owner is being advised to contact dispatch the next time he wishes to conduct a controlled burn. Firefighters will verify.
