Obituary: Sue Catherine Livers, 78, Fairfield
Sue Catherine Livers, 78, of Fairfield, died Monday, Sept. 2, 2019, in Norton Women’s & Children’s Hospital in Louisville. She was born Nov. 18, 1940, in Spencer County to the late George and Virgie Lee Irvine Brown Sr. She was a homemaker, a member of Fairfield 2nd Baptist Church and loved to play softball.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vancy Livers Sr.; one son, Barry K. Livers; six sisters, Anna Williams, Georgie L. Crutcher, Elizabeth Downs, Wilma Lewis, Bessie M. Hayes, and Katie Gilbert; three brothers, Kelly Mason, Charles Brown, and Geroge Brown Jr.; and one grandson, Aaron Clarke.
She is survived by two daughters, Renee Livers of Vine Grove and Rosie Owens of Huntsville, Ala.; three sons, Vancy “Nick” (Marianda) Livers Jr. of Louisville, Stevie (Sharon) Livers of Radcliff and Michael (Shunita) Livers of Bardstown; two sisters, Lillian Spencer and Aline (William) Claxton, both of Louisville; one brother, Harvey L. Brown of Louisville; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Her home going service was Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019, at Fairfield 2nd Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Calvin Holloway officiating. Burial was in the Valley Cemetery in Taylorsville.
The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield was in charge of arrangements.
