Obituary: George F. Froehlich, 77, Cox’s Creek
The memorial service for George F. Froehlich, 77, of Cox’s Creek, who died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, is 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019, at New Salem Baptist Church.
He was born Sept. 24, 1941, in Astoria, New York to the late George and Helen Boris Froehlich. He was a former employee of Armor Elevator Company then went on to work for JCPS as a school bus aid for special needs children. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church, a veteran of the United States Army and a former member of Rebel’s Square Dance Club.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Holmes Froehlich of Cox’s Creek; one daughter, Julia Hendrick of Louisville; and one granddaughter, Ashley Hendrick of Louisville.
The family followed his wishes for cremation.
The Houghlin Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
