Obituary: John Alan Rhodes, 72, Lebanon Junction

John Alan Rhodes, 72, of Lebanon Junction, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019, at his home. He was an employee of Jim Beam Distillers and attended the St. Benedict School.

He was preceded in death by one son, Marty Rhodes; one grandson, Keaton Rhodes; his parents, John Thomas and Virginia Rose Montgomery Rhoades; one sister, Dorothy Frances Phillips; and one brother, James Richard Rhodes.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Vincent Rhodes; two daughters, Shelly Strong (Doug) and Stacie LuAnn Napier; one son, Trevor Alan Rhodes (Lori); three sisters, Ruth Ann Bishop, Linda Pearl Akridge and Mary Jo Johns; one brother, Robert Paul Rhoades; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, at Trowbridge Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction with burial in the Rhodes Family Cemetery.

Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2019, and after 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, at the funeral home.

Trowbridge Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction is in charge of the arrangements.
