Obituary: William T. ‘Woody’ Dean, 73, Springfield

William T. “Woody” Dean, 73, of East Grundy Avenue in Springfield, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville. He was the assistant manager of Haydon Oil Co. of Springfield for 50-plus years.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Smith Dean of Springfield; and two grandchildren, Alan Dean and Brandon Daugherty, both of Springfield.

The funeral is 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2019, at St. Rose Catholic Church with burial in St. Rose Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019, and 7-9:15 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2019, at the Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield with a 7 p.m. Thursday prayer service at the funeral home.

The Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
