Obituary: James Mitchell ‘Mitch’ Gilpin, 37, New Haven

James Mitchell “Mitch” Gilpin, 37, of New Haven, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019.

He was preceded in death by one son, Isaiah Gilpin; his father, Joseph Gilpin Sr.; and one brother, Joseph Gilpin Jr.

He is survived by two children, Elijah Gilpin and Laken Gilpin; his mother, Brenda Gilpin; his sister, Kimberly Gilpin; two nephews, Jacob Gilpin and Kaden Gilpin; one niece, Maci Marshall; and the mother of his children, Kacy Berry.

The funeral is 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2019, at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home with cremation to follow.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, all donations be made to the family in care of the funeral home.

The Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
