Obituary: Garry Lynn Coulter Sr, 69, Bardstown

Garry Lynn Coulter Sr, 69, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was born on Nov. 18, 1949, in Chaplin to the late Austin and Virginia Goodlett Coulter. He was a retired employee of General Electric and was a member of Bloomfield American Legion Post #288.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis Coulter.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah McDaniel Coulter; one daughter, Kimberly (Scott) Thomas of Loretto; one son, Lynn (Tonya) Coulter of Cox’s Creek; two stepsons, Stanton (Julie) Stanley of Louisville and Ron Katzman of Bardstown; his stepmother, Geraldine Coulter of Bloomfield; six brothers, Danny (Judy) Coulter of Fairfield, David (Michelle) Coulter, Ronald Coulter, Wayne (Debbie) Coulter, Pernell (Shirley) Coulter and Justin Coulter, all of Bloomfield; three grandchildren, Kristen, Lauren, Haley; and two stepgrandchildren, Skylar and Lilly.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2019, at the Houghlin Greenwell Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Johnson officiating. Burial is in the First Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019, and after 8:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2019, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
