Obituary: James W. Saltkill, 74, Bardstown

James W. Saltkill, 74, of Bardstown, died peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019. He was born in Louisville March 31, 1945, to the late James and Hartsell Saltkill. He was an avid Kentucky and Steelers fan, as well as a U.S. Air Force veteran. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Donna Saltkill; one daughter, Cyndi Reeder (Paul); two sons, Kevin Saltkill and Dave Saltkill; one daughter-in-law, Jackie Saltkill; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral is noon Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Preston Hwy. at Brooks Road, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens.

Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, at the funeral home with no visitation on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019.

Friends may pay their respects on Saturday, November 2 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm. No services held on Sunday.

The Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
