Obituary: Cynthia ‘Cindy’ P. Chesser, 54, Bardstown

Cynthia “Cindy” P. Chesser, 54, Bardstown, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville. She was born Dec. 17, 1964, in Bardstown to Robert Wayne and Dollie Carol Hagan Parks. Cindy was a former employee of Shields and Bloomfield Mini Mart, was an employee of the Nelson County School System and was a member of Bloomfield Baptist Church. She loved camping, fishing and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Sim and Susie Katherine Carney Parks; her maternal grandparents, Joe Carol and Teenie Helen Waldridge Hagan; and her mother and father-in-law, Cleo and Ruth Chesser.

She is survived by her husband, Brent Chesser, one son, Joseph Chesser of Bloomfield; her parents, Bobby and Dollie Parks of Bloomfield; two sisters, Robin (Tim) Downs of Davenport, Fla.. and Tracy (Ernie Clark) Parks of Boston; one brother, Darrell Parks of Bloomfield; two brothers-in-law, Lynn (Lana) Chesser and Barry (Lisa) Chesser, both of Chaplin; one grandson, Eli Chesser; three aunts, Joan Chowning of Louisville, Janet Burgin and Joyce (Jerry) Stevens, both of Bloomfield; one niece, Bobbi Carol (Chris) Nannery of Bloomfield; one great-niece, Bella Nannery, of Bloomfield; and lifelong friend, Lisa Warner Winchester of Alabama.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Leland Parks and Bro. Matt Thompson officiating with cremation following the service.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, and after 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
