Obituary: Jimmy Joe Weakley, 77, Mooresville
Jimmy Joe Weakley, 77, of Mooresville, died at 5:18 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019, at Baptist Health in Lexington. A native of Washington County, he was born Oct. 31, 1942, to the late Rufus and Mary Cynthia Benham Weakley. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and a retired employee of the former Kentucky Milker Center of Springfield.

He was preceded in death by four sisters Edith Carney, Amy Frances Dean Key, Pauline Holderman and Margie Woford; three brothers, Clarence Weakley, Bill Weakley and Rufus Cecil Weakley; and one grandson, Cody Landon Hill.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Barbara Pulliam of Chaplin; two daughters, Mandy Linton (Moogie) of Bardstown and Lori Jo Goff (Ricky) of Harrodsburg; one son, Chad Weakley of Longwood, Fla; one sister, Brenda Beavers of Louisville; one brother, James D. “Fuzzy” Weakley of Mooresville; and four grandchildren, Ariane Weakley, Carlee Banks (Jon), Hailee Hill and Evan Weakley.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, at the New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Tobe Yankey, the church pastor, officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be after 9:00 Friday morning until time of the services at the New Hope Baptist Church.
Serving as pallbearers will be Evan Weakley, Ricky Goff, Moogie Linton, Josey Wells and James Bunch.
Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
