Obituary: Linda Lee Newton, 68, Springfield

Linda Lee Newton, 68, of Springfield, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville. She was born Sept. 12, 1951, in Louisville.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Elijah and Catherine Turner Hendricks.

Survivors include six daughters, Mattie Hicks Sullivan of Indiana, Kathy Petty of Louisville, Alisha Roberts-Blevins of New Jersey, Candy Sexton and Susan Hooper, both of Willisburg and Cathy Sexton of Mount Eden; five sons, Raymond Sexton, Carl Sullivan, Doug Roberts-Blevins and Tony Roberts, all of Louisville, and James Sullivan of Bloomfield; one brother, Gary Hendricks of Springfield; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019, at Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto with burial in the Mount Zion Cemetery.

Visitation is 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Raymond Sexton, Gary Hendricks, James Sullivan, Carl Sullivan, Terry Bricken and Jeffery Hooper.

Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
