Obituary: David Louis Fenwick, 55, Taylorsville

David Louis Fenwick, 55, of Taylorsville, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2019, at his residence. He was born Jan. 2, 1964, in Lebanon to the late John Albertus and Mary Margaret Nalley Fenwick. He was a retired woodworker, a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of Chaplin Baptist Church. He enjoyed carpentry, fishing, spending time with family and friends, studying God’s word, and telling others about Jesus Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Rita Taylor; three brothers, Henry Anthony Fenwick, John Albert “Johnny” Fenwick, and Francis Alan “Frankie” Fenwick; and one nephew, Kevin Ray McCauley.

He is survived by his wife, Glenita Wyatt Fenwick; two daughters, Stacey (Bruce) Cornish and Amanda (Kevin) Chilton, both of Chaplin; eight sisters, Alma Mae Roseberry of Splendora, Texas., Madonna Faye (Delmar) McCauley of Cox’s Creek, Delores (Dickie) Masterson of Louisville, Patty (Lawrence) Ballard of Bardstown, Peggy Bibb of Conway, Ark., Nancy (Donnie) Miles of Loretto, Debbie (Brian) Patton of Mount Washington, and Jeannie (Paul) Morris of Raywick; two brothers, Kenny Fenwick of New Haven and Danny “Tucker” (Sharon) Fenwick of Loretto; two granddaughters, Sydney Cornish and Abby Cornish; three grandsons, Isaiah Chilton, Daniel Chilton and Jacob Chilton; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019, at the Chaplin Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Thompson officiating. Burial is in the Highview Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, and after 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019, at the Chaplin Baptist Church.

The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
