Obituary: James Anthony ‘Tony’ Clark, 57, New Hope

James Anthony “Tony” Clark, 57, of New Hope, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, at Flaget Hospital in Bardstown surrounded by his family. He was born Feb. 8, 1962, in Nelson County to the late James H. “Rudolph” and Emma Doris Lesliy Clark. He was a loving father, brother, and grandfather. He was a member of the Catholic faith. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Culvertown.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by three daughters, Melissa Smith, Angela Clark, and Courtney Hibbs, all of Nelson County; seven sisters, Bonnie Marshall and Tarry Donahue, both of Bardstown, Sue (Joe) Wade of Danville, Connie (Keith) Riggs of Culvertown, Virginia (Phillip) Willett of Raywick, and Ann (Jerry) Willett and Donna Culver, both of New Hope; one brother, Tommy (Vickie) Clark of Bardstown; 13 grandchildren; one special friend, Stephanie Ball of Bardstown; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2019, with family officiating.

Visitation is 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2019, in the Chapel of the William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home New Haven Chapel, 167 N. Main St. in New Haven is in charge of arrangements.
