EMS, city police respond to reported apparent suicide attempt

Tuesday, July 5, 2011, 10:10 p.m. — Nelson County EMS was called to a residence on Forrest Avenue for a reported suicide attempt by a 19-year-old woman. The woman was found to be unconscious by her parents, who said she had a telephone cord wrapped around her neck. The woman tested positive for alcohol. She was transported by EMS to Flaget Memorial Hospital. Officers with the Bardstown Police Department also responded to the scene.
