Obituary: Barbara Jean Hardin, 66, Cox’s Creek

Barbara Jean Hardin, 66, of Cox’s Creek, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, at her home. She was the former Barbara Noel, an employee of Integrity Tool and Mold, and a faithful member of Riverview Baptist Church. She graduated from Spencer County High School in 1971. She loved reading, watching hummingbirds and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Edward Noel; and one brother, Jerry Noel.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 48 years, Roger Thomas “Tommy” Hardin; two daughters, Julie Hardin and Jennifer Gray (Brad); her mother, Betty Noel; three brothers, Eddie Noel, Terry Noel, and Lonnie Noel; and four grandchildren, Griffin Hourigan, Layla Summitt, Drew Gray and Ollie Gray.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington with burial in the Big Springs Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2019, and after 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019.

The McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington is in charge of arrangements.
