Firefighters respond to reported house hit by lightning on Allie Ct.

Tuesday, July 12, 2011, 5:15 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department is responding to the 100 block of Allie Court off Glenview Drive in Creek Chase subdivision for a house hit by lightning. Residents report seeing smoke in the home coming from the electrical outlets.

5:23 p.m. — Firefighters found a charred electrical outlet in one room and are checking the outlet and two other rooms. Firefighters determine the home was hit by lightning but there is no fire. The homeowner will have the home’s outlets checked by an electrician.
