State fire marshal called to investigate fatal Harrison Fork fire

Wednesday, July 12, 2011, 11:58 a.m. — The state fire marshal’s office was called to a fire that took the life of a Cox’s Creek man earlier today. Media reports identify the man as Charles Trent, 73, whose home at 100 Harrison Fork Road burned at about 7 a.m. Wednesday. The county coroner was called after firefighters found Trent’s body about 10 a.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
