Douglas B. Keslleer, 72, Bardstown

Douglas B. Kessler, 72, of Bardstown, died Saturday, July 16, 2011, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville. He was born March 31, 1939, in Dayton, Ohio. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps, and was retired from sales.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis E. and Lucy Oldham Kessler.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Hatley Kessler; his brother, Jerry Kessler of Englewood, Ohio; four sons, Jeffrey Kessler, Tim Kessler, Greg Kessler and Phil Kessler; four stepchildren, James Aldred, Wade Aldred, Debbie Amato Albert and Candice Aldred Spencer; several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen with a memorial service to be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown.

Visitation is noon until time of the service Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nelson County Humane Society.
