Rolling Fork firefighters, EMS called to fire on New Hope Road

Monday, July 25, 2011, 10:02 a.m. — The New Haven/Rolling Fork Fire Department is responded to the area of 3614 New Hope Road for a reported structure fire. Nelson County EMS also responded. The call to Nelson County Dispatch came in at just after 10 a.m. Monday.

10:09 a.m. — Firefighters have requested a tanker as mutual aid to assist the New Haven/Rolling Fork Fire Department. Firefighters arriving at the fire report the structure is fully involved.

10:21 a.m. — A girl, age unknown, has suffered what have been reported as first-degree burns on her arm. EMS has been advised.

10:34 a.m. — Firefighters on scene have requested the Rolling Fork Fire support team and the American Red Cross to assist the family with immediate shelter needs. Police have been requested to assist with traffic control at the fire scene.
