Woman accused of Sunset Drive theft indicted on robbery, drug charges
Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, 1:30 a.m. — The woman arrested last month in connection with the robbery of a Sunset Drive home in Bardstown was indicted Wednesday by a Nelson Circuit Court grand jury.
Erin Nicole Barnes, 29, Bardstown was indicted on charges of first-degree robbery; assault, first-degree; possession of marijuana; possession of controlled substance, third-degree; possession of legend drugs.
Barnes was arrested by Bardstown Police on Friday, July 22, 2011 after their investigation into a theft from the home of an elderly woman. Barnes allegedly entered the home and took a wallet. When Barnes was confronted by the elderly woman in the driveway, Barnes is allegedly to have knocked the woman to the ground as Barnes moved her vehicle. Barnes was also allegedly found in possession of marijuana, alprazolam and tramadol hydrochloride. Bail was set at $250,000 cash only plus conditions.
Barnes will be arraigned on Aug. 18, 2o11 in Nelson Circuit Court.
