State Sen. Higdon, Rep. Floyd, guests on WBRT’s ‘Brooks & Company’
Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, 11 p.m. — State Sen. Jimmy Higdon and state Rep. David Floyd will be studio guests on WBRT’s “Brooks & Company” talk show from 11 to noon Tuesday morning.
In addition to the host Jim Brooks’ report from the Fancy Farm picnic, Sen. Higdon and Rep. Floyd will be on hand to discuss issues relating to state government, including calls for a special session to deal with repaying interest on borrowed federal unemployment funding, and the need for a special session later this year to focus on redistricting .
The Kentucky Constitution requires the General Assembly to divide the state into 38 Senate and 100 House districts that are as equal in population as possible. The special session likely won’t take place until after the November election.
Tune in at 11 a.m. Tuesday for the broadcast on 1320 WBRT, or listen online on the homepage of The Nelson County Gazette.
