Firefighters called to former St. Thomas School on odor investigation

Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, 3:07 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department is responding to 870 St. Thomas Lane for an odor investigation in a Headstart classroom in the former St. Thomas School building. Caller said they smelled  something like wiring burning.

3:19 p.m. — Firefighters find a fluorescent light ballast has gone bad, they’ll continue to check to be certain there is no fire.
