Reba Hayden, 95, Bardstown

Reba Hayden, 95, of Bardstown, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, at Windsor Gardens in Bardstown.  She was born March 11, 1916, inRichmond, previously employed with T.W. Samuels Distillery and was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Byron Hayden with 53 years of marriage; parents, Jesse and Mary Tutt Hogan; two sisters, Virginia Brandenburg and Gladys Cotton; and daughter-in-law, Sherri Carney Hayden.

She is survived by her five children, Byron (Bobbie) Hayden, Danny (Betty Kaye) Hayden, Shirl (Kenny) Thomas all of Bardstown, Gary (Janis) Hayden of Bloomfield, and Kenny (Diana) Hayden of Bardstown; a sister, Iva Jean Mackin of Cox’s Creek; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery.  Dr. Peter F. (Rick) Loader will officiate.

Visitation is noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, and 9-11 a.m. Monday at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may go to Hospice of Nelson County or First Christian Church (DOC).
