Obituary: Mary Shirley Brown, 78, Louisville
Mary Shirley Brown, 78, of Louisville, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023, at Signature Healthcare in Taylorsville.
She was born Dec. 29, 1944, in New Haven to the late Damon and Mary Aleatha Cecil Brown.
She was a CPA for many years. She was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church in Louisville. She was a loving sister and aunt. She loved Elvis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, three brothers, J.D. Brown, Roy Brown and Tommy Brown.
She is survived by three sisters, Ann (Billy) Bryan of Culvertown, Lucy Carroll of North Carolina, and Evelyn Vittitow, of Louisville; one brother, Jimmy (Patricia “Boonie”) Brown of Louisville; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation was chosen with a private memorial service at St. Catherine Catholic Church Cemetery.
The William R. Rust Funeral Home New Haven Chapel in New Haven is in charge of arrangements.
