Obituary: Thomas Wathen ‘Tommy’ Fenwick, 77, Bardstown

Thomas Wathen “Tommy” Fenwick, 77, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville with his loving family by his side. He was born April 21, 1945, in Lebanon to the late Thomas Leroy and Margie Pauline Sutton Fenwick.

He was retired from Salt River Electric as a supervisor and former lineman. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting and was a member of Ducks Unlimited and National Wild Turkey Federation. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard in Springfield and was a member of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by one daughter, Yvonne (Joseph) Simonson of LaGrange; one son, Thomas “Tommy” (Amy) Fenwick of Louisville; four sisters, Frances (Dixie) Snider of Atlanta, Linda (Joe) Rudd of Lawrenceburg, and Patsy “Pat” (Jim) Raybourne and Marilyn Boone, both of Springfield; two brothers, Danny (Gayle) Fenwick and Ricky (Melinda) Fenwick, both of Springfield; and two grandsons, Glen Simonson and Neil Simonson.

The family has followed his wishes for cremation and a memorial visitation will be held at a later date.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
