Obituary: Kitty Caroline Burtchett, 77, Bardstown

Kitty Caroline Burtchett, 77, of Bardstown, died Monday, January 30, 2023, at her home. She was the former Carol Orr, a native of Stuart, Va., and a homemaker.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Melvin Burtchett; two daughters, Ginger Lee Scearce and Jeannie Scearce Weaver; three sisters, Jewel Wilson, Shirley Keene, and Linda Connors; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen.

Memorial gifts in her memory are suggested to Hospice of Nelson County.

The McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington is in charge of arrangements.
