Obituary: David Lee Wickliffe, 71, Bardstown

David Lee Wickliffe, 71, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023, at his home. He was born Dec. 24, 1951, in Bardstown to the late Lindon and Dorothy Scott Wickliffe. He was a retired employee of My Old Kentucky Home State Park. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Souls Harbor Church. He loved fishing and hunting and was an avid UofL fan.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene Crowe Wickliffe; three sons, Marlin Linton, Marcus Hodgens and Chris Hodgens, all of Bardstown; two brothers, Larry (Liz) Donald of North Carolina and Michael Wickliffe of Louisville; and four grandchildren, Ja’Shyla Hodgens, Ja’Zaryus Hodgens, Marissa Linton and Tyson Linton.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with the Rev. Roscoe Linton officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
