Obituary: Mary Grace Elder White, 85, Nazareth Village

Mary Grace Elder White, 85, of Nazareth Village, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, at Landmark of Bardstown. She was born Aug. 19, 1937, in Marion County. She was a retired employee of PNC Bank in Louisville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow White; her parents, Hubert Martin Elder and Clara Cecilia Higdon Elder; her stepmother, Frances Canary Elder; and four siblings, Joseph David Elder, Blanche Thomas, Kathy Wimpsett and Greg Elder.

Survivors include two brothers, Jerry Elder (Sara) of Loretto and Philip Elder (Judy) of Lebanon; four half-siblings, Martha Jean Harris (Lane) of Louisiana, Margie Blanford of Saint Francis, Mitchell Elder (Ann) of Mount Washington and Martin Elder of Raywick.

A special thanks to Cynthia, her caregiver at Nazareth Village.

Cremation was chosen. Private burial of her cremated remains will take place in St. Charles Cemetery.

Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
