Obituary: Janet Yates, 78, Bardstown

Janet Yates, 78, of Bardstown, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2023, at Landmark of Bardstown. She was born June 26, 1944. in Bardstown to the late Ernest Hubert and Martha Ellen Kays Coulter. She was a former employee of Sally Beauty Supply. She attended Chaplin Christian Church and loved to read.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters; and two brothers.

She is survived by two sons, Wesley (Sandy) Yates of Shepherdsville and Leonard Yates of Bloomfield; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family followed her wishes for cremation.

Memorial visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
