Obituary: Daniel Rudolph ‘Danny’ Lindsey, 74, Bardstown

Daniel Rudolph “Danny” Lindsey, 74, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2023. He was a 1967 graduate of Washington County High School and a resident of Bardstown. He was born Dec. 30, 1948. He was a member of the Whiskey City Cruisers, Duvall Masonic Lodge, Bardstown Sportsman Club, and Marion County Sportsman Club. He was a collector of antique cars. He enjoyed going to car races and tractor pulls, and loved visiting the mountains of Eastern Kentucky. He never met a stranger. He loved his time being a bus driver at Bethlehem High School, loved telling stories, and bragging on his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Rudolph and Alberta Lindsey; one sister, Mary Jane Lindsey Taylor; and one nephew, Edwin Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Mudd Lindsey; one daughter, Laura (John) Montgomery; one son, Scott Lindsey; one sister, Sharon (Keith) Blanford; one brother, David Lindsey; four grandchildren, Paige Montgomery, Grant Montgomery, Tori Lindsey; and Talen Lindsey; three special honorary
grandchildren, Michael Thomas, Zachary Ritchie, and Maddie Ritchie; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and a special great-granddog who he loved so much, Dolly.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen with burial at at later date in Millcreek Baptist Church Cemetery.

A celebration of life is 1 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Barlow Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiating.

Visitation is 1:30-5 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2023, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to The Rae of Sunshine Foundation, Bethlehem High School, or St. Joseph School.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
