Obituary: James Ronald ‘Jimmy’ Lyvers Jr., 62, Holy Cross

James Ronald “Jimmy” Lyvers Jr., 62, of Holy Cross, died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023, at UK Hospital in Lexington. He was born Aug. 16, 1960, in Nelson County. He formerly worked as a truck driver. He honorably served his country in the U. S. Marines.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Ronald “Ronnie” Lyvers and Burnita Mae “Nedy” Suiter Lyvers; and two siblings, Linda Karen Lyvers and Terry Lee Lyvers.

Survivors include one sister, Vickie M. Conner (Gene) of Nelson County; one brother, David E. Lyvers (Donna Michelle Brown) of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, at Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto with Deacon Joseph R. Dant officiating. Burial is in Holy Cross Cemetery with military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, at the funeral home.

Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
