St. Gregory School teacher recognized for excellence in Catholic education

Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023 — Terry Rogan, a fourth-grade teacher at St. Gregory School, has been recognized by Archdiocese of Louisville for her contributions to Catholic education.

Rogan has been selected as this year’s recipient of the Father Joseph McGee Outstanding Catholic Educator award.

The award will be presented by the Catholic Education Foundation during the Salute to Catholic Schools Alumni event on March 8th. The award is presented to a teacher who exemplifies deep dedication to a Catholic school education. The award is named after the Rev. Joseph McGee, who spent his lifetime committed to Catholic education.

Rogan has been a teacher for more than 20 years.

According to her nomination, Rogan “is loving and compassionate, positive, helpful, and most importantly, faithful.

“She engages her students in hands-on activities. thoughtful projects and expects them to stretch by presenting items in front of the class and sharing their talents with the school.”

The Salute to Catholic Schools Alumni event is Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at the Galt House. Individual tickets are $650. Tables of 8 start at $5,000. For tickets, click here.
