Former city schools teacher arrested on sexual abuse, harassment charges

Monday,, Feb. 20, 2023 — A Bardstown City Schools teacher was arrested Monday by the Bardstown Police Department on charges of sexual abuse and harassment.
Jeremy Keith Dale, 49, of Cox’s Creek, was arrested Monday morning at 10:19 a.m. following an investigation by police that began on Feb. 2nd.
According to the arrest report, Dale “subjected a juvenile at Bardstown High School to sexual contact on two occasions.” The report also adds that Dale harassed other female students with physical contact during the same time period.
Dale had worked for the city schools as a teacher and assistant football coach. According to the school district, he has since been fired.
Dale will be arraigned Tuesday afternoon on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of physical harassment. His bond was set at $5,000 cash.
First-degree sexual abuse is a Class D felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
