Obituary: Sandy Hale, 71, Bloomfield

Sandy Hale, 71, of Bloomfield, died Monday, March 6, 2023, at Baptist Health Louisville. She was born Aug. 21, 1951, in Lebanon to the late John Newton and Vena Holt Grigsby Sr. She was a former beautician and a retired loan officer of 21 years for Chemco Federal Credit Union. She was a member of Bloomfield Baptist Church. She cherished her grandchildren, enjoyed cooking, and loved flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Martina Curtsinger and Jean Wright.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Donnie Hale; two daughters, Melanie (Jamie) Draper of Willisburg amd Melinda (Nick) Mudd of Columbus, Ind.; one sister, Judy Jenkins of Louisville; one brother, Johnny (Cindy) Grigsby of Mount Washington; six grandchildren, Jada Draper, Reece Draper, Colton Draper, Barrett Mudd, Griffen Mudd, Hallie Mudd; and a special niece who she thought of as a daughter, Tina Wright Downs.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2023, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Leland Parks and Bro. Richard Carwile officiating. Burial is in Highview Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2023, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
