Joseph Phillip Riley, 66, Taylorsville

Joseph Phillip Riley, 66, ofTaylorsville, died Saturday Sept. 3, 2011, at Baptist Hospital East. He was born Oct. 27, 1944, in Bloomfield. He was a retired farmer and former employee of Jefferson County Stone.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Faye Bird Riley; a son, Timothy Allen Riley; his parents, Harvey and Clara Riley; and a brother, Jimmy Riley.

He is survived by his son, Phillip Wayne Riley of Chaplin; two daughters, Sherry Leigh (Jeffrey) Shelburne of Louisville and Sheila Gail Riley ofTaylorsville; two brothers; seven sisters; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial inSt.MichaelCemetery,Fairfield.  Brother Jerry Albert Bird will officiate.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at Barlow Funeral Home.
