Home fire alarm triggered by exhaust from four-wheeler ATV
Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, 3:56 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded to the 100 block of Poplar Woods Drive for an active residential fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at the home and their investigation revealed that a carbon monoxide detector had activated due to the exhaust from a four-wheeler ATV that had been started in the home’s garage. Firefighters asked the resident to check with the alarm system company so they know the alarm that was active was CO and not fire or smoke. Firefighters were on the scene about 15 minutes.
