Phyllis Marie Mattingly Hall, 67, New Haven

Phyllis Marie Mattingly Hall, 67, of New Haven, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at her home in New Haven. She was born Dec. 23, 1943, and was a member of St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven. She was retired from Barton Brands Ltd. in Bardstown after 25 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her father, William “Bill” Mattingly; a brother, Donnie Mattingly and her stepfather, Charlie Russell.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Phillip “Larry” Hall of New Haven; two sons, Larry (Tammy) Hall Jr. and Todd (Shari) Hall, both of New Haven; a daughter, Nikki (David) Connour of New Haven; her mother, Beatrice “Bea” O’Daniel Mattingly Russell of Bardstown; a brother, Randy (Pauletta) Mattingly of Bardstown; four sisters, Jeanie Culver of Bardstown, Elizabeth “Betty” (Edward) Downs and Ann (Billy) Holbert, both of New Haven, and Linda (Anthony) Morley of New Hope; six grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church with the Rev. Troy Overton officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, and 8:30-10:30 Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at the William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven with a prayer service 5 p.m. Tuesday with Deacon Eddie Hutchins officiating.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven is in charge of arrangements.
