Report: Boston Rd. semi crash found to be a tractor-trailer brake fire

Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011, 10:13 p.m. — Bardstown Fire, police and Nelson County EMS responded the 1600 block of Boston raod for a reported injury crash possibly involving three semi tractor-trailer rigs, one of which was on fire.

Firefighters who arrived at the scene found there was no crash, but one of the tractor-trailer rigs had a brake fire, the other two trucks had stopped to assist the driver of the first truck.

Firefighters quickly gained control of the fire. Boston Road was shut down for about 20 minutes.
