Famous muscle car on display at Legion Post 121 for Bourbon Fest

Friday, Sept. 16, 2011, 5:10 p.m. — It’s Kentucky Bourbon Festival weekend and the focus is on Kentucky’s native spirit.

But for those who get their fill of Kentucky Bourbon and wish to partake of something different, the American Legion Post 121 and Papa John’s has some alternatives: pizza and beer.

Papa John’s Pizza is set up at the American Legion Post on West Broadway for the Kentucky Bourbon Festival. Papa John’s will have fresh pizza, and the Legion will be selling beer and providing music.

And just for the Kentucky Bourbon Festival, visitors to the Legion will get a chance to see Papa John Schnatter’s Z28 Camaro muscle car that Schnatter sold to help start his pizza business in 1984. Schnatter purchased the car back in 2009 after a nationwide search.
