Two men indicted by Nelson grand jury Wednesday on sex charges

Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, 12:45 p.m. — A Bardstown man was indicted Wednesday on first-degree sexual abuse charges.

Damon G. Huntt, 26, was indicted by a Nelson County grand jury for allegedly engaging in sexual contact with another person by use of forcible compulsion.

Huntt was also indicted on charges of being a persistent felony offender. According to the indictment, he previously was convicted in May 2010 on charges of first-degree sexual abuse of a victim under 12 years of age and in July 2009 on charges of 10 counts of second-degree sodomy.

According to Nelson County Jail records, Huntt was arrested and charged with first-degree sexual abuse on Sept. 14, 2011.

Bail was set at $100,000 cash only plus conditions. Arraignment was set for Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011.

E’TOWN MAN INDICTED. Robert E. Taylor, 25, of Elizabethtown, was indicted Wednesday on charges of first-degree sodomy of a victim under 12 years of age.

According to the indictment, on Aug. 24, 2011, Taylor engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with another person under 12 years of age by forcible compulsion.

According to Nelson County Jail records, Taylor was arrested and charged with first-degree sodomy on Sept. 5, 2011.

Bail was set at $200,000 cash only plus conditions. Arraignment was set for Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011.
