City police investigate overnight metal thefts from local businesses
Thursday, Oct. 6. 2011, 11:04 a.m. — Bardstown Police are investigating metal thefts from two local businesses that apparently were committed by the same individual or individuals.
Police were called to S & R Supply and Ironworks Inc. Thursday morning about 9:45 for to investigate missing metals from both businesses. Ironworks reported a skid of stainless steel was missing from their property. Using security camera video, police identified a vehicle that may have been involved in the thefts. Nelson County Dispatch asked officers to keep an eye out for a late 1980s-early 1990s Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck that was black and silver in color, with a front wheel rim that appeared to be black and a rear one that was chrome or silver in appearance.
