5 injured in 2-vehicle crash near post office on W. Stephen Foster
Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, 2:45 p.m. — Five people were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash on West Stephen Foster Avenue near the Post Office in the Maple Hill neighborhood. The accident involved a collision between a truck and a passenger van. Three Nelson County EMS ambulances transported the injured, which included the 41-year-old female driver of one of the vehicles, who complained of right hand pain, chest pain and pelvic pain; her 11-year-old daughter, who complained of rib and right ankle pain; a 22-year-old woman who complained of facial pain and right hand pain; her two-year-old daughter; and a 22-year-old woman who complained of facial pain and upper leg pain. The injured were taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment. The accident happened about 2:15 p.m. The Bardstown Police Department investigated the accident.
