Ruby Jean Humes, 77, Springfield
Ruby Jean Humes, 77, of Springfield, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at her home.
She was the former Ruby Jean Tingle and was a native of Spencer County, a homemaker and a member of The Little Union Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by parents, Ezra Tingle and Clara Curtsinger Tingle.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Humes; three sons, Billy (Dolores Jean) Humes of Lebanon, Danny (Debbie) Humes of Springfield, and Roy Humes (Phyllis Sue) of Maud; one brother Charles (Alice) Tingle of Bloomfield; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, at the Houghlin Funeral Home with burial in theValleyCemeterywith Brother James Humes officiating.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hosparus of Central Kentucky.
