Georgian Boyd, 69, formerly of Bardstown, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, at her daughter’s home in Dallas, Texas.

She was married to the late Charles William “Bill” Boyd on Nov. 13, 1970, and lived in Bardstown from 1984 to 2006 where she was part owner of GBA Printing before becoming office manager at Patron’s Do It Best Home Center. After the death of her husband, she moved to Dallas to be near her daughter. She loved her dog, “Baxter,” and was excited when she finally met her goal weight this year.
She is survived by a daughter, Tami DeWeese of Dallas, Texas, and two grandchildren, Liam DeWeese and Mati DeWeese.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at the Bardstown Cemetery. Deacon Sam Filiatreau will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Harris Hospice, McKinney, Texas, through Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home.
