Obituary: Sony Elaine Hawkins, 60, formerly of Bardstown

Sony Elaine Hawkins, 60, formerly of Bardstown died Monday, Jan. 13, 2025 in Prisma Health Richland in Columbia, S.C. She was born Sept. 18, 1964, in Bardstown to the late Benjamin E. “Benny” and Mary Ann Beeler Stoner.

She loved to cruise, doing puzzles, and loved her grandchildren. She was a member of New Destiny Church International.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Andre Hawkins.

She is survived by her husband, Drake Hawkins of Columbia, S.C.; four daughters, Natasha (Regginal Crooks) Graves and Tanika Graves Thompson, both of Columbia, S.C, Nichole (Seann) Hightower and Kimberly (Kenard) Martin, both of Lawton, Okla.; three sisters, Shelia Lydian of Bardstown, Miriam Tonge of Tacoma, Wash., and Tricia (Renaldo) Turner of Columbia, S.C.; and eight grandchildren.

The funeral is 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Bro. Chad Reed and Renaldo Turner officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
